Already through week 3 of Senior Project and 1 more week to go. Through this week I have accomplished another successful research and mimick a photographer. This weeks phtotographer is Henry Chalfant. Henry's style of photography is street art. He was born in 1940 and rasied in Pennslyvania. I have never tried taking graffiti photos but watching a video of an interview of Henry, has twicked my perspective on graffiti.
I believe mimicking this artists style was easy yet difficult because I had to prepare the route of where Im going to take the pitcures, the lighting of the time of day is a huge factor and depennds where the mural is located but its somewhat easy if done properly. (LG#1) For this style of photography you could either take photos at night or day, depending on how your taking the picture. I believe either early morning or between afternoon and evening time are good times for taking photos. (LG#2) I leanred If its a bright sunny day a good starter for aperture is F16 on camera. For steady photos you could bring a tripod but I read the less stuff you bring the better. So I didnt use a tripod.(LG#3)
Down below I have some notes on who he is as well have notes on tips to take the best street art photographs. I have also attached a link to the video of the interview.
